Real Wedding: Whitney & Richard

Once upon a time, we met a beautiful young lady and her dashing fiance who live out of state but wanted to celebrate their wedding in New Jersey to be closer to their family and long-time friends. Whitney wanted her wedding to be a glamorous black tie event with gold, black, and ivory as her color palette and regal banquet tables. Richard just asked that it not look to gothic. We achieved this look with tall candelabras, sequined table linens, gold table settings, and tall white thrones for the bride & groom. Their sweetheart table was elevated and covered with a gold sequined table cloth. Their elegantly decorated cake was prominently displayed on the dance floor just below the sweetheart table. We added two 24-foot long banquet tables in black sequined covers on either side of the ballroom and surrounded them with round tables in black satin. Gold chiavarri chairs lightened the guest seating areas.

Our entire team of incredible professionals, including the venue's staff, worked very well together to make Whitney and Richard's wedding a FABULOUS event.

Happy New Year!

We've had a great year at the Trilogy Event Design studio, working with so many fun couples across our planning and design divisions. In fact, between weddings, Sweet 16's, Birthdays, and other special events, Randi, Francesca, and Michael worked on over 40 events this past year!

We started the year off with a bang, when Randi coordinated the fabulous wedding of Jessica and Ryan at the Crystal Tea Room. This is the second wedding for Randi and the bride's family... she also coordinated the bride's twin sister's wedding a few years ago.

Randi also worked with the bride to capture her wedding day vision of a city chic winter wonderland. How did we do?

While Randi was ensuring Ryan and Jessica's big day ran smoothly, Francesca was working on the finishing touches for Michele and Michael's wedding stationery. Francesca worked with this fun-loving couple over the course of a year starting with their custom-illustrated save the date with a twist. Michele & Michael were marrying over Valentine's Weekend at the Curtis Center, and wanted to incorporate traditional Valentine's Day imagery. For their save the date, Francesca created and designed a three-panel custom-illustrated save the date with each panel perforated in the style of the Valentine's Day cards we all passed around as children.

The Valentine's Day theme continued in their wedding invitation suite and day-of stationery that incorporated a red heart pattern that Francesca created and carried through each piece, including their custom-designed envelope liner.

As Winter gave way to Spring and Summer, Randi and Francesca continued to plan, design, and coordinate weddings and events at fantastic venues like Tendenza...

And, at each event, Randi and Francesca brought their unique, creative flair to make sure our couples' guests were wowed by a cohesive design that told our couples' stories.

Things only got busier as we headed into the Fall: weddings, a Sweet 16 at Talamore Country Club, and a move to a new studio space in the heart of Hatboro, PA.

Jacalyn & Olivier's Michener Art Museum Wedding

We've been very lucky to work with so many fabulous couples this past summer. From a rustic vineyard wedding over Labor Day weekend, we moved to the elegant wedding of Jacalyn and Olivier at the Michener Art Museum in Bucks County, PA. (Photos by the very talented McMasters Photography)

We were lucky to meet Jacalyn last year after she found us through PartySpace.com. Besides providing monthly check-ins with Jacalyn, Chief Event Planner Randi Martin and the Trilogy Event Design team performed day-of coordination services for her at this stunning venue.

Birthday-Fever!

We've been doing our own celebrating this month, as September hosts the birthdays of not one but two fabulous ladies: Trilogy Event Design's Chief Event Planner Randi Martin and Creative Director Francesca Staffieri! Besides celebrating their own birthdays, Randi and Francesca collaborated on the event design for a Sweet 16 Birthday Party held at Talamore Country Club this past weekend.

We love Talamore Country Club, and not just because we are a preferred vendor. From Weddings and Anniversary Parties to Sweet 16s and Mitzvahs, Talamore provides a beautiful back-drop for any event.

Speaking of beautiful... Randi had the pleasure of working with a beautiful couple this past year: Jacalyn and Olivier.

After their wonderful wedding ceremony at St. Alphonsus in Ambler, PA, the festivities continued at the reception at another gorgeous venue: the Michener Art Museum! We'll have more professional photos and a full blog coming soon featuring this amazing couple, but we wanted to share this fantastic candid shot Randi took of our couple and their bridal party in front of the museum.

While Randi partied the night away with this fab couple, Francesca put the finishing touches on the day-of wedding designs for Chris and Elaina's stationery.

Elaina and Chris found Francesca almost a year ago when they were referred to us by a friend. Even though they live out of state and never met in-person, through the magic of telephones and the internet, Francesca was able to collaborate with them on their designs and give them the attention they deserved just as if they lived in the same state!

Their photographic save the date set the mood last year for what was to be a great day at the Boone Hall Plantation. For their ceremony program, they asked Francesca to design a poster that tied in with the other designs created for their wedding invitation suite while also featuring a funny little girl...

An Amazing Vineyard Wedding…

No two couples are alike. At Trilogy Event Design, we're thrilled to have worked with so many wonderful couples that want to tell their story through their wedding day. And as we closed out the Summer of 2014, we were lucky enough to see a year's worth of planning and designing come together for our amazing couple Ranjana and Tim! (Thanks to Colleen Joy, owner/photographer of Full Circle Photography & Design for many of the photos featured in this blog).

This fabulous, sweet, and very funny couple visited our studio back in the Summer of 2013 with a vision of a rustic-chic wedding. After taking them on a venue search, they decided upon Sand Castle Winery in Bucks County, PA for their wedding reception.

This gorgeous venue had the character and style they were envisioning for their big day. With the surrounding vineyard proving to be a formidable view for their guests, the immediate impact of pulling up to the winery and seeing the Sand Castle set the stage perfectly for what was to be a terrific evening.

To get their guests excited for their wedding reception, Ranjana & Tim asked Francesca to design them an invitation suite that reflected the overall look of their reception and incorporated elements from the winery. On a kraft paper, Francesca created a wine-stained invitation suite that was the talk of their guests in the lead-up to the wedding.

Besides designing floral, Kate — using the designs Trilogy Creative Designer Francesca Staffieri created for our couple's invitation suite — designed the chalk art signs that were at the buffet tables and cocktail lounge.

While the guests were treated to a wine tasting held by the winery, Ranjana & Tim didn't want their guests to go home empty-handed so they chose a wine as their favor. Francesca designed the wine labels pictured above as well as the seating cards hung around the neck of the bottles.

Trilogy Event Design Chief Event Planner Randi Martin was always at arm's length over the course of the evening, coordinating the other vendors and the event, while our couple spent the evening dancing with their family and friends.

As the night drew to a close, with DJ Kyle from Synergetic Sound & Lighting providing the music everyone was dancing to and their guests eating the delicious food by caterer Chand Palace, Ranjana & Tim cut their cake from Lochel's Bakery

It truly was a fun evening, and we couldn't have been happier to work with such a fun-loving, sweet, and beautiful couple! Congratulations, Ranjana & Tim! We wish you all the best on your new life together :)

The Bride Wore Red…

 Photograph by Full Circle Photography

We hope you have had a wonderful summer and got to celebrate Labor Day with a bang!

We've been busy with lots of weddings and events this season. No two brides looked the same. Whether it is cultural or a personal preference, brides are not sticking to the traditional white or ivory dresses anymore. Our bride, Ranjana (shown), looked fabulous in her jewel-encrusted wedding attire. In Indian culture, brides wear red to symbolize good luck and happiness.

Non-traditional frocks by top designers have been hitting the runway for the past few seasons. This is a great way to make your wedding unique. Do you dream about your wedding in color?

We would love to work with you to help you decide which traditional and/or non-traditional elements to incorporate in your wedding from the stationery and event design to the menu and music selections. Schedule an initial meeting with us to get started.

And, for more photos from this amazing vineyard wedding, stay tuned to the Trilogy Blog next week!
